The ultimate goal of mankind
who’s put here on the earth
is to glorify God in honor
maximized in all worth

extolling praise in song
shouts of glory resounding joy
is offered quite prolonged

those who live to glorify God
express the joy they feel
complete in Christ filled with Spirit
the love they have is real

being a part of a holy God
a bond of love that’s sealed
becomes the channel through which flows
the glorifying zeal

in the lifting of holy hands
through the praises of song
all hearts are turned toward the Lord
desiring Him so strong

as man endeavors to draw close
hungering for that love
wanting to be more like Jesus
and the Father above
